The 60th Street Corridor development is a joint effort between Neighborhood Restorations/WPRE , an experienced developer who over the past 20 years redeveloped over 800 properties in the West Philadelphia area and The Partnership Community Development Corporation, a not-for-profit, 501(c)3, who for the past 18 years has been dedicated to community building in West Philadelphia. Together, they are strategically revitalizing the 60th Street Corridor through the creation of a transit oriented development consisting of 21 new commercial storefronts and 60 units of affordable housing options along South 60th Street.

Located in the heart of Philadelphia's Cobbs Creek neighborhood, the 60th Street Corridor was originally developed in the 1920s and was once a vibrant stretch of busy city blocks. Today, the 60th Street Corridor is confronting high vacancy and deteriorating structures — the result of years of shifting population and competition from newer retail centers. Adding to this challenge is the reconstruction of the 60th Street Station at Market Street, which, over its decade-long run, has significantly hampered foot traffic from SEPTA riders, hence exacerbating the Corridor's decline. Now that the reconstruction is complete, the Corridor will once again benefit from its transit-oriented development features, breathing new life into this neighborhood, staving off further degradation, and revitalizing a historically rich and economically viable area of the city.
